DevOps Engineer
Consol Partners’ client are looking for someone a DevOps Engineer (Junior/Medior) on an initial 6 month contract based in Gent, Belgium. The contract is extendable.

Languages: English (French / Dutch advantageous)
Job summary:
– Integrate the clients Advanced Development and Innovation team in Gent for prototyping the next generation of the client products. The team is composed of highly specialised experts (machine learning, embeded devices, fpga) your role is to serve as the "glue" of the team and bring this different knowledge together and to the cloud. You will be designing and prototyping on both Azure and AWS, from configuring CI/CD pipelines to deploying machine learning models on edge devices (freeRTOS or similar embeded devices).
– Good programming knowledge of NodeJS and Python is a must, other languages are a plus. You will be splitting your tasks with a senior software engineer, therefore professionalism is expected.
– As an innovation engineer doing research is a very important part of the job, both software and hardware.
Skill expectation:
3 years of experience using the below:– NodeJS, Python
– Cloud – Azure, AWS
– Make a point of contact for connecting units to the cloud
– Reverse Engineer serial communication protocols – used in factories by field engineers
– Use protocol to read and write values to units RAM using Rasberry Pi connected via 4G or WiFi
– work on small WiFi adapters, set up WebSocket connection to a ReactJS application deployed in Azure
– Collect data from units all over the world and logging this into a Database
