This role will help drive HR Operations excellence through :

  • Leading and delivery of plant HR coordination activities that includes supporting and ensuring timely and accurate processing of overtime for the Sucat Plant, including supporting plant workforce administration activities, rewards execution, benefits administration, management of ER/IR matters, blue collar recruitment, and other plant HR coordination activities
  • Ensuring full compliance to statutory requirements
  • Administering Employee Benefits processing (e.g. Medical benefits & claims, Leave, Staff purchase)
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with the employees at the plant and the broader plant HR Team in gaining trust, respect and credibility
  • To work cohesively with the Payroll team based in Shared Service Office for needed validations and sign offs and to ensure alignment for the purpose of monthly payroll requirements

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to)

1) Medical Benefits Administration

  • Ensure timely payment of annual group medical insurance premiums
  • Update service provider on employee changes that impact medical benefits
  • Ensure medical claims are submitted to service provider on timely basis and follow up on reimbursements
  • Employee inquiries on medical benefits and claims status are resolved timely and satisfactorily.
  • Work closely with insurance broker/service provider to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Organize joint briefing session with insurance broker to brief employees on benefits as needed

2) Leave Management

  • Ensure leave is updated on a timely basis and in accordance to leave policy
  • Oversee/Handle employee inquiries on leave related matters
  • Liaise with vendor to ensure system issues are resolved

3) International Mobility (Plant specific only)

  • Coordinate with appointed third-party vendors for employee's tax services, immigration, shipment, accommodation and healthcare requirements
  • Ensure assignment letters, salary letters and other relevant legal documentation needed for the relocation are prepared on timely basis
  • Ensured accurate and timely processing of ongoing assignment allowances and other entitlements.

4) Industrial Relations

  • Experience in handling disciplinary cases from a HR administrative support level
  • Supporting monthly union meetings (Ugnayan)
  • Collective Agreement renewal support
  • Handling external vendors in relation to blue collar workers hiring/renewals
  • Handling work permit documentation of workers relating to work permit renewals, and other immigration related matters

5) Blue Collar Recruitment

  • Supporting the vendor management of blue collar contractor recruitments
  • Management of any direct recruitment of blue collar workers
  • Management of associated tasks involving statutory bodies e.g. immigration, ministry of labor

6) Workforce Administration

  • Management of SAP HR employee master data updates
  • Preparation of all employee letters
  • Maintain electronic and physical employee files
  • Facilitate compliant processing of documents and maintenance of documents

7) HR Projects

  • IL6S
  • Other ongoing improvement projects for HR at Plant level

Do you have what it takes?

  • University degree or equivalent in HRM or Business Administration
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, statutory requirements & payroll processing
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Payroll processing, preferably in FMCG or shared service environment
  • Experience in payroll processing, & workforce administration
  • Strong process orientation & attention to detail
  • Proven administrative ability in an environment requiring accuracy, consistent achievement of deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Experience in using payroll systems
  • Strong Excel skills - experience in spreadsheets using advanced functions as part of payroll preparation/checking aid, and reporting purposes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Has knowledge in the Labor Union in the Philippines
