Reporting to the Manager, Sales Controlling, PH, Finance Transformation, the Commercial Finance Manager for Key Accounts and Operations is responsible for providing direction to our National Sales Manager and Key Accounts Managers (KAMs) in achieving financial objectives through strong business partnering and implementing initiatives to ensure efficient use of business resources and deliver sustainable profit and growth. Objectives include achievement of key account net revenue and managing trade spending effectiveness and return of interest, helps manage process of sales returns and ensuring proper accounting and related financial and controls through regular assessment of processes.

The position also includes leading the operational activities of Commercial Finance team in ensuring timely and accurate reporting and analysis of sales, trade spending, returns, advertising and promotional activities and accrual of other expenses in accordance with generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP), company policies and statutory requirements.

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to)

Financial Accounting, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Business Partnering:

Provides support and financial advisory to Key Account Managers for the timely implementation of related business programs

  • Customer Profitability and Liquidity:

Provides leadership towards insightful business analysis and management of risks and opportunities

  • Revenue and Trade Spend Management:

Ensures effective and efficient processes are in place compliant with Mondelez policies, local and tax regulations

Financial Insights and Advisory:

  • Provides support in setting financial related targets such as revenue objectives, trade spend budget, customer profitability and other implementation programs to support growth.
  • Provides guidance in managing customer risks of our Key Accounts Mangers (KAMs) as well as identifying opportunities in optimizing internal and customer profitability and liquidity.
  • Leads the Sales and Finance team in conducting regular pre and post evaluation of trade spending and recommends necessary action plans and resource allocation if needed.
  • Provides support in the demand reviews of integrated business planning cycle and changes thereof through net revenue (NR) postings

Systems and Process Management:

  • Ensures price bulletins are promptly issued for affected stock keeping unit in line with the company's plan and strategies
  • Leads the maintenance of systems tools and data base used by operations team to facilitate efficient monitoring and reporting of sales and trade spending data
  • Continuous improvement in the financial processes, procedures and systems specifically in the areas of revenue accounting, reporting and analysis

Sales Operations:

  • Reviews and reports net revenue, trade spending, returns and other expenses in accordance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensures smooth month end closing process for sales related items ensuring spending within plan.
  • Provides key support in the demand reviews of integrated business planning cycle and changes thereof through net revenue postings

Organizational Development:

  • Build effective working relationship with subordinate through coaching and training and development
  • Accurately assess direct reports and provide regular constructive and effective feedback on strengths and development opportunities through formal and informal discussions
  • Works effectively with cross functional teams to build cooperative relationship

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance
  • Strong knowledge on statutory and US generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP) reporting
  • Should have 5 years minimum experience with fast moving consumer goods in Financial Planning and Analysis and/or Commercial Finance/Sales Finance operations
  • Good understanding on key accounts management business with excellent business acumen
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
